President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed to the Ukrainian people at the end of the 51st day of russia's war against Ukraine.
He answered the question that now worries every Ukrainian: how much will this war last? He noted that although there were many factors to consider, the main ones were only two: the readiness of our partners to provide us with more weapons and to strengthen sanctions against russia.
• “The sooner the democratic world recognizes that the oil embargo against russia and the complete blockade of its banking sector are compulsory, the sooner the war will end,” he said.
• The President said that at the end of the government meeting, the following figures had been announced regarding the country's economy: “four-fifths of all Ukrainian enterprises have already returned to work in safe areas. In particular, this applies to heavy industry enterprises”.
• The President emphasized that there would be no increase in electricity prices. For at least the next six months, the electricity tariff of 1 hryvnia 44 kopeks per kilowatt will remain for those who consume less than 250 kilowatts, i.e. 80% of citizens.
• The questionnaire brought to the head of state by the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen has been already filled out by Ukraine and will soon be returned back.
• Yesterday was an important meeting with all the leaders of the power unit of the state, the main topic of discussion was Mariupol. The President promised that everything would be done to save Ukrainian people.
• “The occupiers are trying to fight with activists and the military. But they are just deceiving themselves. The problem of the occupiers is not that they are not accepted by some activists, veterans or journalists. russia's problem is that the entire Ukrainian country does not accept it at all – and will never accept it again.”
