It is informed that on May 19 at 18:30 Kyiv time the US Senate began voting on the bill HR 7691, which provides the allocation of an additional package of assistance to Ukraine. As a result, senators voted to provide $40 billion aid for Ukraine.

The package, in particular, is aimed at security and humanitarian aid to Ukraine, support of the Ukrainian economy, and overcoming the global food crisis.
The document will now be sent for signature to US President Joe Biden.
The bill provides a combined $20.1 billion in military aid that is expected to provide for the transfer of advanced weapons systems: Patriot antiaircraft missiles and long-range artillery.
The bill also includes more than $8 billion in general economic support for Ukraine, nearly $5 billion in global food aid to address potential food shortages, and more than $1 billion in combined support for refugees.
