What happened? British intelligence found out that russian armored personnel carriers (APCs) are located only 60 meters from the 5th power unit of the Zaporizhzhia NPP.
Source. The report of the Ministry of Defence of the United Kingdom.
Details. The occupiers were probably attempting to conceal the vehicles by parking them under overhead pipes and gantries, but on August 21, the British Ministry of Defence received satellite images and detected the concentration of russian military vehicles.
The ministry noted that the russians were probably prepared to exploit any Ukrainian military activity near ZNPP for propaganda purposes.
The ministry has also summarised the safety risks of the station's operation – the main ones remain failures in the operation of reactor cooling systems and damage to the back-up power supply. It was noted, in particular, that Ukrainian employees of the ZNPP were working under pressure and could make mistakes.
