What happened? The Armed Forces of Ukraine have shot down more than 300 kamikaze drones since they began to appear in the sky over Ukraine.
Source. Yuriy Ihnat, the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.
Details. “Since September 13, when the first Shahed-136 kamikaze drone was downed in Kupyansk, Kharkiv Oblast, more than 300 Iranian-made Shahed-136 kamikaze drones have been shot down,” he stated.
The spokesman added that the enemy used drones “wavelike” and not every day. “The enemy sees the results, and it is clear that he monitors how these kamikaze drones cope with tasks, sees that we destroy them, looks for new tactical methods for their use, in particular, using precisely the night time, very often – from 12 to 2 a.m., when the drones can be shot down only with means of air defence that have radar systems,” Mr. Ihnat said.
