Details. The head of administration notes that the advance “is not easy and every meter of Luhansk Oblast is given hard.” He stresses that russians had time to prepare and bring mobilised soldiers to the oblast.
“Yes, they are not professional military, poorly armed, trained and equipped. However, it is still a large number of people shooting in our direction,” Mr. Hayday explaines.
He adds that heavy fighting continues, the occupiers shell the recently liberated territories.
“The occupiers know exactly where they are hitting. Because just a few days ago [they] were driven out of those villages, and they know how many civilians live there, where they live. Nevertheless, the shelling is really severe. We are trying to primarily arrange evacuation,” Mr. Hayday comments.
Previously. The Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated 179 settlements on the right bank of the Dnieper River just in a week. The area of the de-occupied territory is more than 4500 square kilometres.
