What happened? Participants of the G20 summit prepared a draft joint statement following the results of the meeting.

Details. According to the outlet, the text of the joint statement states that the situation around Ukraine worsens the existing vulnerability of the world economy, restrains economic growth, increases inflation, disrupts supply chains, increases energy and food insecurity, as well as risks to financial stability.
Besides, states recognised that the use or threat of the use of nuclear weapons are unacceptable. “The peaceful conflict resolution, efforts to overcome crises, as well as diplomacy and dialogue are vital. The current era should not be an era of wars.”
It is noted that at the summit “there were other views and different assessments of the situation”, however, members of the delegations have already agreed on a draft statement. The final word will be for the G20 leaders who are to sign the document.
