UPDATED: One person was killed, 20 were injured during missile attack on Kyiv

What happened? Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported the death of a person as a result of the enemy missile attack on the capital.

Details. "According to preliminary information, one person was killed in Solomyanskyi district. Several people were injured. In Solomyanskyi district, doctors are now hospitalising three injured women. Rescuers are working at the sites of explosions," he wrote.

Earlier today, at least 10 powerful explosions were heard in Kyiv, according to preliminary data, that was the work of air defence systems.

Mr. Klitschko noted that one of the explosions in the capital had occurred between residential buildings in Solomyanskyi district. Later he added that explosions had also occurred in Pecherskyi and Holosiyivskyi districts. There are destructions.

The mayor clarified that, according to preliminary information, an elderly man had died, seven people had been injured in two places of explosions in Solomianskyi district. "One person is in extremely serious condition," he said.

The head of the city clarified that the number of injured increased to 20. "Due to the russian attack on civilian facilities of the capital, 1 person was killed and 20 were injured," he said. Mr.Klitschko also said that the buildings of two schools in Solomyanskyi district of the capital had been damaged to varying degrees, one more – in Pecherskyi district. Kindergarten in Solomyanskyi district was damaged as well.
