What happened? The Verkhovna Rada deprived Viktor Medvedchuk, Andriy Derkach, Taras Kozak, Renat Kuzmin and Andriy Aksionov of their parliamentary mandates.

Details. It is noted that 320 deputies voted for deprivation of Mr. Medvedchuk's mandate, 317 – for Mr. Kozak's one, 314 – for Mr. Derkach's, 319 – for Mr. Kuzmin's, and 294 – for Mr. Aksionov's.
The MP also stressed that the decisions had been adopted with a scandal.
"At first there was a discussion on when to put it on the agenda. The coalition's proposal was to consider it at the end of the agenda. The proposal of other factions and groups was to start the day with the deprivation of mandates of these deputies. After 3 votings and blocking of the rostrum, the position of the latter won," Mr. Zhelezniak explained.
