What happened? The European Commission has approved an official proposal to extend autonomous trade measures for Ukraine for another year.

Details. She reminds that due to the complete abolition of tariffs, Ukrainian business was able to increase exports to the EU during the war. In 2022, exports to the EU amounted to $27.9 billion, 63% of Ukraine's exports last year.
"This is the first official step towards extending the duty-free regime. Later, this issue will be considered by the EU Council, and yesterday we discussed this issue with the permanent representatives of the EU member states," Ms. Svyrydenko writes.
The minister notes that during the meeting with DG Trade, other steps to strengthen trade ties between Ukraine and the EU, which are "especially important" in the context of integration into the European Union, were also discussed.
