A part of the London street near the Russian Embassy in the UK has been renamed Kyiv Road. This decision was made by the local council of the Westminster district on the occasion of the anniversary of the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Near the renamed section of Bayswater Road (a major street that runs parallel to Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens) there is a consular section of the Russian Embassy in the UK.
The sign with the new name of the Bayswater Road section was unveiled on Friday with the participation of Ukraine's Ambassador to the UK Vadym Prystaiko.
On Thursday, the same street was the site of a protest by the activist group Led by Donkeys, who painted a part of the roadway blue and yellow.
One of Westminster's council members, Paul Dimoldenberg, told the BBC that the renaming should be "a signal to Putin and the people of Russia that we stand shoulder to shoulder with the people of Ukraine."
