The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has amended the Procedure for Determining Damage and Losses Caused to Ukraine as a Result of the Armed Aggression of the russian federation. The amendments were adopted during a government meeting.
This was announced by Taras Melnychuk, representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada.
It is planned to determine the damage and losses in a new area – damage caused to peasant farmings and/or farms of individual entrepreneurs.
This includes maiming, bodily injuries, or death of farm animals, as well as losses due to destruction or damage to agricultural machinery and equipment for the agro-industrial complex
The day before, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Solsky said in an interview with Mind that due to russian aggression, direct losses to agriculture as of 15 September, 2022, had reached $6.6 billion. Moreover, due to the full-scale invasion, 2.8 million tonnes of grain and 1.2 million tonnes of oilseeds were destroyed/stolen.
It is worth noting that the government approved the Procedure for Determining Damage and Losses in March 2022. It currently has several areas, including: human, economic and military losses; losses of housing stock, amenities, public buildings, housing and communal services; damage to land resources.
