Despite the fact that the European Commission is preparing a new compensation package for European farmers who suffered from grain imports from Ukraine, the protesters believe that these compensations will not help cover the losses.
As part of the protests on April 7, Romanian residents took tractors and other equipment to the streets. In one of the counties, a battle broke out between farmers and law enforcement officers.
