NASA and the State Space Agency of Ukraine (SSAU) have signed a joint statement aimed at promoting cooperation between the parties in the areas of civil space, communications, and navigation.
This was announced by Oksana Markarova, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United States.
"Another positive result in our inspiring field is Space. Today in Washington, at the headquarters of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration NASA – National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the signing ceremony of the Joint Statement between NASA and the State Space Agency of Ukraine was held," the ambassador wrote on Facebook.
According to her, NASA Administrator Bill Nelson and Deputy Chairman of the State Space Agency of Ukraine Volodymyr Mikheyev, along with Deputy Minister of Economy Ihor Fomenko, "took another step towards new opportunities for the Ukrainian rocket and space industry and expanding cooperation between Ukraine and the United States in the areas of civilian space, communications and navigation, as well as International Space Station projects and many other areas."
