Ukraine and France have signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the transport sector.

This was reported by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

According to the government, the immediate plans include enhanced cooperation in providing Ukraine with bridges and support for Ukrzaliznytsia. The countries have already agreed to supply rails and upgrade the locomotive fleet. The Council does not rule out the participation of French partners in rebuilding and supporting Ukrainian air navigation.

In general, cooperation will cover the areas of railways, public urban transport, multimodal transport and logistics, air and sea transport, road infrastructure, and the development of environmentally friendly mobility.
