Since the beginning of the invasion, Ukraine has begun to produce shells that have not been produced before - Ukroboronprom

But there is not enough ammunition to satisfy the "shell hunger", which Ukroboronprom can produce jointly with a NATO country

Natalia Sad, a spokeswoman for the state-owned Ukroboronprom, said that the amount of ammunition that Ukroboronprom can produce together with a NATO member state is not enough to stop the army from experiencing the so-called "shell hunger."

"The volumes that we can produce together with a NATO member state at its facilities are not enough for our army to stop experiencing the so-called hunger. However, we are working on it. The volumes are growing, but it is not enough yet," said the Ukroboronprom spokeswoman during a national telethon on Monday evening.

She also noted that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the production of ammunition that had not been produced before has begun.

"(...) During the full-scale invasion, we have launched a strong production of almost the entire line of ammunition. We are talking mainly about Soviet "Kalibr", because all our artillery and tanks are basically what we inherited from a state that no longer exists (USSR-IF-U). However, all this equipment needs shots and shells," Sad said.

The spokeswoman added that Ukroboronprom and other manufacturers have launched the production of 82 mm and 120 mm mines, 122 mm and 152 mm artillery shells, and 125 mm tank shells.

Background. Earlier it was reported that Ukraine and Poland had agreed to jointly produce tank shells.
