The explosion in Sevastopol on April 29 destroyed more than 10 tanks with oil products. Their total capacity is about 40 thousand tons.
Source. This was reported by Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, in a commentary to RBC-Ukraine.
He clarified that these oil products were intended for the needs of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. At the same time, he did not confirm the involvement of the Ukrainian side in the UAV attack.
"On April 29, the city of Sevastopol had a "cotton", which is God's punishment, in particular for the killed civilians in Uman, including five children. This punishment will be long-lasting," Yusov noted.
He recommended Crimean residents to stay away from military facilities in the near future.
"It is advisable for all residents of the temporarily occupied Crimea not to be near military facilities and facilities that supply the aggressor's army in the near future," said Yusov.
He also added that the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine is aware of the thefts committed by the local occupiers at this and other facilities.
"It is worth noting that we are aware of the theft of oil products by officials of the occupation authorities and other corrupt practices at this oil depot and other occupation facilities. This, of course, expands the capabilities of the Ukrainian Security and Defense Forces," the representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine said.
As a reminder, early on Saturday morning, an explosion occurred at the oil depot in Kozacha Bay in Sevastopol, followed by a massive fire of fuel tanks. Local authorities said the storage facility was struck by two drones.
According to them, there were no casualties, there was no need to evacuate people, and all available resources of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and even the Russian Black Sea Fleet were used to extinguish the fire, which covered an area of more than 2000 square meters.
