On Friday, the state-owned enterprise Energoatom, the IAEA and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs signed a trilateral cooperation agreement that provides for France's assistance to Energoatom in the purchase of spare parts for diesel generators through the IAEA.

"For Energoatom, cooperation with the French government is important and significant, as it will help the company to complete equipment that is extremely important for the safety of nuclear power plants," said Energoatom Vice President Hartmut Jacob, quoted by the company in a telegram on Friday evening.
Hartmut Jakob signed the agreement on behalf of the Ukrainian side in Kyiv, while NNEGC's partners signed it in Vienna.
"On behalf of NNEGC Energoatom, I express my sincere gratitude to the government and people of France for their assistance, to the IAEA experts for their efficiency and the possibility of its implementation, and to all colleagues of the parties involved for organizing and preparing this signing," the NNEGC Vice President summed up.
