Poland has already delivered 10 MiG-29 fighters to Kyiv

Ukraine, with the help of its allies, has already managed to integrate a certain number of Western missiles into its fighter jets

Poland has handed over 10 MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine. This was stated by Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak during his visit to Canada.

In Toronto, Blaszczak met with Canadian Defense Minister Anita Anand to discuss further assistance to Kyiv and joint actions by NATO countries.

Earlier, on April 5, Polish President Andrzej Duda said that Poland had already handed over 8 such fighter jets to Ukraine.

In addition, on April 13, the German government approved Poland's request to transfer MiG-29 fighter jets from the former GDR to Ukraine.

Another 13 such fighters were sent to Kyiv by Slovakia.

According to French aeronautics expert Xavier Tytelman, Ukraine "with the help of its allies, especially the Americans, has already managed to integrate a certain number of Western missiles into its fighters. In particular, on the MiG-29. Therefore, there is no urgent need to have Western fighters to strike with JDAM guided bombs, they can be used from the MiG-29," he said.

Background. As a reminder, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba explained that providing Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets would help restore global food security.
