During the past month, the Ukrainian car market was replenished with 2,128 battery-powered vehicles (BEV), including 453 new and 1,675 used ones, according to UkrAvtoprom.
Imported used cars accounted for the overall growth in the electric vehicle segment of the car market (+21% compared to March), while demand for new electric cars decreased by 14%.
Therefore, the share of new cars in April registrations of BEVs amounted to 21%, compared to 28% in March.
The top 5 new electric cars on the market in April 2023 were: Volkswagen ID.4 – 129 pieces, Dongfeng\Honda M-NV – 53 pieces, Volkswagen ID.6 – 36 pieces, MG4 EV – 26 pieces, Honda e – 23 pieces.
The top 5 used electric cars newly registered in Ukraine in April were: Nissan Leaf – 366 pieces, Tesla Model 3 – 156 pieces, Volkswagen e-Golf – 145 pieces, Renault Zoe – 113 pieces, Volkswagen ID.4 – 111 pieces.
Since the beginning of the year, 7,000 battery-powered vehicles have been registered in Ukraine, of which 24% are new and 76% are used.
