In Ukraine, prices have begun to fall for some products.
This was announced by Oleksandr Haydu, Head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Agrarian Policy.
According to him, egg prices have been decreasing since the beginning of May, and this trend could continue until mid-summer. This is due to an increase in supply from households due to the warmer weather and a decrease in consumer demand.
In addition, new potatoes, cabbage, carrots, and beetroot may soon decrease in price due to an increase in supply from domestic producers. The committee head added that vegetable cultivation is also resuming in Odessa, as well as in the central and western regions.
"Logistics became significantly more expensive during the war, but there is hope that this year there will be more fruits, vegetables, and gourds from the de-occupied areas of Kherson," Haidu clarified.
