As of Monday morning in Kyiv, 1,849 shelters have been inspected. Only 55% (1,011) of them are ready for use by the civilian population.
This was reported by the Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine.
The Ministry notes that 32% (596) of the checked shelters are not in a proper condition.
In addition, law enforcement officers were unable to access up to 13% (242) of the checked shelters, so their readiness remains unknown.
Background. Earlier, Mind reported that the mayor of the capital, Vitali Klitschko, was extremely dissatisfied with the expenditure of funds by district heads. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has ordered a full audit of all shelters in Ukraine.
