The postal operator Nova Poshta plans to launch branches in Latvia, Estonia, Slovakia, and Hungary by the end of the third quarter of 2023.
This was announced by the director for international market development, Andriy Hryhorov, AIN.UA reports.
"We are currently analysing the launch format and opening model," commented Hryhorov.
The company is also working on launching in Austria, France, Italy, and Spain by the end of the year. There are no exact dates yet, but Nova Poshta is confident that they will be able to do this by the end of 2023.
Background. Nova Poshta is creating a separate company called Nova Post Europe, one of its tasks will be international expansion within the European Union countries. This will be a separate business unit with its own CEO, with a separate apparatus. However, the European company will still closely interact with Ukraine.
Since the end of 2022, Nova Poshta has begun its international expansion, opening branches in EU countries. In 2023, the amount of investment in international markets is 10 million euros, in 2024 "this amount will definitely be larger."
Nova Poshta is already operating in Poland, Germany, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Moldova, and Romania, with separate companies established in each country (as of the beginning of spring, there was no company in the Czech Republic, but there were in Slovakia and Hungary).
