3 foreign vessels have already passed through the russian blockade in the Black Sea.
This is reported by Forbes.
According to the publication, the ships were escorted by a group of NATO planes, probably unarmed. However, alliance fighter jets were on standby nearby.
Journalists speculate that the ships are heading for grain loading at the port of Izmail in Odessa Oblast, and later they will return to the Black Sea.
"Successful Sunday's breach of the blockade could signal to international freight forwarders that it is quite safe to resume operations from Ukrainian ports," Forbes believes.
At the same time, the Institute of War Studies emphasises: the breach of the blockade may indicate that russian forces are unwilling or unable to forcibly stop and search neutral vessels heading to Ukraine via the Black Sea.
Background. Mind previously reported that Croatia was ready to export Ukrainian grain through its ports. This refers, in particular, to ports on the Danube and in the Adriatic Sea.
