The Chair of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy, Danylo Hetmantsev, has reported an assassination attempt on the Deputy Head of the State Tax Service, Yevhen Sokur.
He revealed this on Telegram.
"Rumours began to surface yesterday, but the police asked that no details be disclosed until this morning. An assassination attempt on Yevhen Sokur, Deputy Head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine, was made at 7:50 a.m. yesterday morning," wrote Hetmantsev.
According to the report, the attack occurred in the city centre, likely referring to Kyiv. "The culprits are schemers who lost their 'business' and crossed a line. Thanks to the coordinated actions of the criminal investigation department, Yevhen was saved," he added.
The MP informed that the perpetrators had been detained and are currently testifying against those who commissioned the hit.
