The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) has allocated over 662 million UAH to support the army since the beginning of 2023, as reported by the NABU press service.
This sum includes money and assets either seized or contributed voluntarily within criminal investigations led by NABU and the SAPO (Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office), in addition to bail amounts set by the HACC (High Anti-Corruption Court).
From the onset of the full-scale invasion, law enforcement agencies have channeled 1.94 billion UAH to bolster the defenders of Ukraine, notably for the Army of Drones initiative.
Background. Mind previously reported that the SBU (Security Service of Ukraine) and NABU had exposed a current MP for allegedly accepting a bribe of $85,000. He is suspected of "selling" land from the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences. Media speculation points to Anatoliy Hunka, a member of the Sluha Narodu (Servant of the People) party.
