The Belgian Ministry of Defense has purchased Sea Sparrow missiles from Germany. This was reported by Interfax-Ukraine with reference to L'Echo and the office of the Belgian Minister of Defense Ludivine Dedonder.
According to the publication, Belgium has purchased a total of 14 missiles, eight of which will be transferred to Ukraine.
In addition, the Belgian Cabinet of Ministers confirmed that it will consider a decision on a new supply of equipment for Ukrainian troops worth more than 150,000 euros at a meeting on Friday.
In addition to Sea Sparrow missiles, this aid package will include 3,200 magazines for FN FNC assault rifles and nearly 50 Bangalore tubes, explosive devices designed to allow infantry to pierce barbed wire in ground defenses.
