First Leopard 1 tanks delivered by Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands arrive in Ukraine

More tanks are on the way, according to the Danish Ministry of Defense

The first batch of ten Leopard 1 tanks donated to Kyiv by Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands has arrived in Ukraine.

Source. This was reported by the Danish Ministry of Defense, cited by the BBC.

"The first 10 tanks have already been sent to Ukraine. And more are on the way," the defense ministry said in a statement.

Danish military instructors are training Ukrainian soldiers to operate them in Germany, the statement said.

In February, Denmark, Germany, and the Netherlands promised to provide Ukraine with 100 German-made tanks in the "coming months."

Background. As a reminder, Germany is offering Greece to give its 100 Leopards to Ukraine and give Athens more modern tanks in return.
