In the event of a victory over Ukraine, Russia plans to march its troops to the West. US President Joe Biden and governments in Europe, including Polish President Andrzej Duda, have been informed of Russia's plans.
Source. Michal Fischer, a military expert and former Polish army pilot, said this during an interview, ukrayina.pl reports.
As an example of what Poland knows about Russia's plans, he cited Duda's speech during the celebrations of Poland's Independence Day.
"Is it possible to be sure that Russian imperialism will stop there, on the Russian-occupied lands of Ukraine? Well, let me tell you straight: not only can we not be sure that it will stop, we can be sure that it will NOT stop," Duda said on November 11.
According to Fisher, Biden is aware that this threat is real because he has access to intelligence and professional analysis "that we can only dream of." And Duda received the same information.
"If Biden didn't know that this was Putin's plan, why would he do all this? Insisting on further packages for Ukraine does not bring him electoral points. Quite the opposite. It's the same with Duda. Why does he need this? People do not want to hear this and are afraid," the expert noted.
According to the Polish pilot, propaganda programs on Russian television can be considered signals of such an action plan. He drew attention to the discussions in Vladimir Solovyov's studio, during which they discuss which countries to invade after Ukraine.
Fischer emphasized that we should not be fooled into thinking that this is just propaganda. "They threatened Georgia, right? So they came in. Then they threatened Ukraine in the same way... They said what they would do. When will we finally learn this? When will they come to Brussels?" Fisher asked rhetorically.
The journalist asked the retired major whether Russia would be afraid to attack Poland, a NATO member, and receive a sharp response from the United States.
"The Americans have only half the size of the Russian army. And if Trump wins, I don't know if they will send anyone here," Fisher said. In case Biden wins, the United States will still not be able to send a large number of troops to Poland, he said.
"They need to keep reserves in case of a war with China, so they will send a maximum of seven or eight divisions. And the Russians have about 30 divisions. One division is 10-15 thousand people," the former pilot emphasized.
In other words, in general, the United States would be able to send no more than 250,000 troops, while the Russian army now numbers 800,000 people.
"If there was a war between Russia and NATO, it would not involve any of the sophisticated operations or brilliant strategies that the West imagined long ago during the Cold War, but would lead to something similar to what is happening in Ukraine now: a meat grinder somewhere on the Vistula," Fisher said.
Background. To recap, German analysts believe that the freezing of Russia's war against Ukraine could lead to Russia's attack on NATO countries in 6-10 years.
