These funds will help finance one of the most successful business support programs - "5-7-9"

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a grant from Germany worth almost UAH 2 billion, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said.

"Today, the government has also made a decision that will allow us to attract a grant from Germany worth almost UAH 2 billion," Shmyhal wrote in a telegram following the Cabinet meeting.

According to the Prime Minister, these funds will help the government continue to finance the 5-7-9 business support program.

He also reminded that this week the EU provided Ukraine with another tranche of macro-financial assistance worth €1.5 billion.

The day before, the state budget received $400 million from the UK through the World Bank's trust fund.

"These funds will be used for social payments, pensions, salaries for doctors and teachers, and for the critical needs of our country," Shmyhal said.

He thanked the partners for their assistance in economic recovery.
