One of the associations of Polish carriers, not involved in the blockade of the border with Ukraine, has offered its vision of a compromise that would partially satisfy the interests of the blockers.

The TLP Association proposes to oblige Polish carriers to provide 50% of all transportation services in trade with Ukraine. According to their proposal, if a company importing or exporting goods gives more orders to Ukrainian carriers, it will face a fine of 30% of its annual income.
In addition, the proposal requires that all transportation by Ukrainian carriers be registered in the SENT system.
The head of the association, Maciej Wronski, believes that booking at least 50% of the transportation of goods in trade with Ukraine will achieve approximately the same goals as the system with permits, and Poland will not violate the agreement between Ukraine and the EU.
Vronsky emphasized that a decision is needed as soon as possible, as the blockade of the border by Polish carriers affects not only Ukraine but also many Polish companies.
According to Vronsky, it is not necessary to wait for the formation of a full-fledged new government to pass such a bill.
Meanwhile, the head of the Civic Platform and future Prime Minister Donald Tusk criticized the politicians of the current government in Poland for their inaction and unwillingness to resolve the situation with the blockade on the Polish-Ukrainian border. He stated that he did not understand the inaction of the authorities regarding the situation on the border over the past two weeks. In his opinion, this cannot be forgiven.
"In this way, we jeopardize Polish-Ukrainian relations. We are not protecting Polish interests. This government is putting us all in a very difficult situation. PIS, Morawiecki and Kaczynski have fatally played the Ukrainian card, amateurishly, unprofessionally and very cynically," Donald Tusk said.
According to him, the authorities could at least pretend to deal with real problems.
"PIS's policy towards Ukraine looks terrible and scandalous. They have quarreled with everyone. With Germany, and now with Ukraine. At first, they gave Ukraine everything they had, forgetting about Poland's interests, because they had to talk about them calmly right away, without bringing them to a crisis. And then, when various groups of people began to resent this, they pulled out the "anti-Ukrainian cards" and began to "play" with them. Today they pretend they don't exist. Even though they are still in power. Despite this, they decided not to solve any more problems," Donald Tusk emphasized.
Background. The day before, the Polish authorities finally responded to the blockade of the Ukrainian-Polish border by carriers. The Minister of Infrastructure of Poland asked the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine to cancel the registration of vehicles returning from Ukraine to the EU in the eCheck system.
