Artillery Coalition to start working in Paris next month to strengthen the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are interested in further purchasing Caesar self-propelled artillery systems

Source. This was announced by Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Lieutenant General Ivan Havryliuk during a meeting with a delegation from the Senate of the French Parliament, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reports.

He emphasized that it is very important for Ukraine to strengthen its firepower through the supply of artillery systems by the allies.

In particular, the Armed Forces are interested in further purchasing Caesar self-propelled artillery systems for their needs.

"Caesar self-propelled artillery systems have demonstrated high efficiency and accuracy in combat," said Havryliuk.

In 2024, it is planned to test the fire control of the Caesar self-propelled artillery systems using artificial intelligence.

According to the Deputy Minister of Defense, the use of AI will reduce the use of ammunition for target acquisition and destruction by 30%.

At the same time, Ivan Havryliuk called on the French side to assist in increasing the number of ammunition for the Caesar.

On November 8, it was reported that the French government announced the allocation of an additional 200 million euros for the Ukrainian army support fund, which finances the purchase of weapons.

Earlier, on October 3, it became known that France would provide Ukraine with six more self-propelled 155-mm Caesar artillery systems manufactured by Nexter.
