President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that at a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff on 11 March, the issue of building fortifications was discussed.
Reportedly, a report was given by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on the pace of construction of new defensive borders.
"Defence of three 2,000-kilometre-long lanes is a large-scale task, but the pace is good now. I look forward to a timely completion," Zelensky wrote on his Telegram channel.
He also said that he had heard reports from Defence Minister Rustem Umerov and the head of the Ministry of Strategic Industries, Oleksandr Kamyshin, on providing the frontline with everything it needs: "The actual and future supply of shells, missiles and other weapons. Our own production," he said.
The situation on the battlefield was reported by Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, Chief of the General Staff Anatoliy Bargylevych and local commanders.
