Diya may introduce an AI assistant to handle citizen complaints

By 2030, Ukraine plans to rank among the top three countries in the world for AI integration and implementation, stated Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.

AI assistant may appear in Diya App to handle citizen complaints in Q1 2025. An AI assistant capable of listening to citizen complaints and redirecting them to the appropriate government institutions may be introduced in the Diya app in the first quarter of 2025.

This was announced by Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov during the presentation of the AI Center of Excellence, as reported by Interfax-Ukraine.

"We are working on integrating a certain assistant into Diya, an AI-based agent that you can turn to if you encounter problems while interacting with the government," Fedorov said.

According to him, users will be able to communicate with the assistant by voice, as it will have the ability to convert speech into text. Once processed, Diya will determine which ministry is responsible for addressing the complaint or issue and will redirect the request accordingly.

The minister added that Ukraine aims to be among the top three countries in the world by 2030 in terms of AI integration and implementation. However, he noted that Ukraine should not expect competitors to OpenAI or DeepSeek to emerge in 2025.

Background. Earlier, Mind reported that the vehicle re-registration service was reinstated in Diya: selling a car that is wanted or stolen will no longer be possible.
