Details. The offensive, named “Operation Claw Lock”, was centered in northern Iraq’s Metina, Zap and Avashin-Basyan regions. It is noted that before the operation, air strikes were carried out on shelters, bunkers, caves, tunnels, ammunition depots and headquarters involving Turkish Air Force units, fire support forces, helicopters, UAVs and combat UAVs. Commandos and special operations forces are involved in the ground part of the operation.
Kurdish TV channel Rudaw reports that air strikes on settlements in Iraqi Kurdistan have been carried out for three weeks so far.
