Today, on April 26, on the anniversary of the Chernobyl accident, an IAEA expert mission led by Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi arrived at the Chernobyl NPP to deliver vital equipment and conduct radiological and other assessments of the station, which had been under russian control for five weeks before the retreat of russian troops on March 31.
Other additional IAEA missions to this and other nuclear facilities in Ukraine will also take place in the coming weeks.
