What should Ukraine go through on its way to joining the EU: a conversation with a Lithuanian investment banker and head of the “Eurostrategy” center

Tonight there will be a broadcast of Mind Talks: “Ukraine's candidacy to join the EU: how long the accession path will be and what changes (legislative and not only) Ukraine will need to implement”

Mind.ua's Editor-in-Chief Eugene Shpytko together with analyst Oleksandr Spasichenko will discuss with Oleksii Moldovan, head of the Center for Economic Initiatives “Eurostrategy”, and Audrius Miciukevičius, investment banker and ex-employee of the Ministry of Finance of Lithuania, what awaits Ukraine on its way to joining the European Union.

The Lithuanian expert will talk about the experience of Lithuania's accession to the EU. He will compare the Lithuanian path with the Ukrainian one and will tell how his country adapted legislation and tax rates.

Analysts will discuss the complexity of the EU structure and degree of integration, key European principles and competition between EU countries.

During the broadcast, we will find out whether the relatively low GDP per capita of Ukraine is a problem in the process of joining the European Union.
