Details. In response to the warning, Saudi Arabia, the U.S. and several other neighboring states have raised the level of alert for their military forces, the officials said. They didn’t provide more details on the Saudi intelligence.

The White House stated it was ready to respond if Iran carried out an attack.

Saudi intelligence believes, that Iran is going to carry out attack on Erbil city, in Iraq, where American troops are based.

At the end of September, Iran had already shelled northern Iraq with ballistic missiles and combat drones. One of the drones was shot down by an American fighter. Tehran has accused Iranian Kurdish separatist groups based there of fomenting unrest in the country.

Iranian authorities have also publicly accused Saudi Arabia, the U.S. and Israel of inciting the protests.

In September, the commander of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Hossein Salami, publicly called on Saudi Arabia to reduce its coverage of protests in Iran on Farsi-language satellite TV channels. One of them is Iran International (based in London), a Saudi-backed satellite TV channel, which is popular with a number of Iranians.

“This is our last warning since you are interfering in our internal affairs through this media,” Hossein Salami said.
