Shmyhal: Almost half of Ukraine's energy system is out of order due to russian missile strikes

Prime Minister stresses that Ukraine needs additional support from partners in the energy sector

What happened? Due to russian missile strikes, almost half of Ukraine's energy system is out of order.

Source. Denys Shmyhal, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, at a joint briefing with Valdis Dombrovskis, the Vice President of the European Commission, Ukrinform reports.

Details. “russia continues missile attacks on civilian critical infrastructure of Ukraine, fighting against civilians and depriving them of light, water, heat and communication during the winter. On November 15 alone, russia fired about 100 missiles at Ukrainian cities. Almost half of our energy system is out of order,” Mr. Shmyhal said.

In this regard, the Prime Minister stressed that Ukraine needed additional support from partners in the energy sector, the supply of additional equipment and additional financial resources to purchase additional volumes of gas and other means of supporting the energy sector.
