I am glad to welcome today in Kyiv the Heads of Government of Lithuania and Poland Ingrida Šimonytė and Mateusz Morawiecki. In the format of the Lublin Triangle, we discussed topical issues and challenges, as well as signed a joint statement in which we agreed on a number of our positions,” Mr. Shmyhal said.

According to the report, the guests confirmed their readiness to intensify the discussion in NATO on the invitation of Ukraine to the accession negotiations in view of the upcoming summit in Vilnius.

They also stressed the importance of further strengthening of military, financial, and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, and confirmed further participation in the restoration of Ukraine.

They also supported the commencement of negotiations on the accession of Ukraine to the EU immediately after the adoption of a positive assessment by the European Commission on the implementation of the recommendations on the application for membership.

“The last year has proved how important the unity of our countries and peoples is. We work for further strengthening of partnership and common future in the united Europe,” the Ukrainian Prime Minister stressed.
