What happened? Experts of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspected the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant during November 22-24 and found no undeclared nuclear materials.

Details. The inspection was held within the framework of the agreement between Ukraine and the IAEA in connection with the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.
Representatives of the agency visited the Pidlisnyi and Buriakivka radioactive waste disposal sites, Vector production complex of the Centralised Radioactive Waste Management Plant and laboratories. It is noted that experts have no remarks following the inspection results.
In addition, the SNRIU adds that international representatives witnessed a massive missile attack on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine, de-energisation of the Chornobyl NPP industrial site and transfer of facilities to the emergency power supply from diesel generators.
