Details. To ensure the balance in the power system, all oblasts of Ukraine were informed of consumption limits, which are valid from 8:00 to 23:00. Exceeding the consumption limits leads to the application of emergency restrictions.
Currently, during the night period, power plants produce enough electricity to cover consumption. However, due to adverse weather conditions, there are a number of damages in the distribution networks of the central region. Repair crews of the distribution system operator are restoring power supply.
Last night in the east of the country one of the energy infrastructure facilities was damaged as a result of the russian shelling. In addition in the frontline regions in the east and south, the situation with electricity supply remains difficult due to significant damage to power grids and high activity of hostilities.
The company reminds that over the past three months, the power system of Ukraine has suffered significant damage as a result of targeted massive missile and drone attacks by the enemy. Damage to generation facilities and trunk grids is complex and large-scale. Their restoration still requires significant resources and time. Emergency restoration works are ongoing.
"Please consume electricity wisely, use energy-intensive appliances alternately. This will reduce the load on the power system and reduce the need to limit consumption," Ukrenergo urges.
