What happened? The electricity deficit has slightly decreased due to increased production, but remains at a significant level and is still too large to cover consumption in full.

Details. "Two units of thermal power plants have returned to the grid after repairs. At the same time, one unit was taken out of service for emergency repairs. In addition, electricity is being imported from other countries for almost the entire day," Ukrenergo describes the situation.
At the same time, according to the system operator, electricity consumption is gradually increasing due to the intensification of frost, with a more rapid growth expected tomorrow with the start of the working week.
The company confirmed the information previously released by grid operators about the introduction of consumption limits in the oblasts only for the period from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
The exceptions are Kyiv and Odesa oblasts, where there are network restrictions.
In particular, emergency power cuts continue to be in effect in Odesa and the surrounding settlements due to a large-scale accident at one of Ukrenergo's substations.
The company assures that, together with the Odesa Oblast Military Administration and oblast power distribution companies, its specialists are developing backup connection schemes for Odesa and the surrounding areas, and Ukrenergo and regional power distribution companies' repair teams are working around the clock to eliminate the consequences of the accident and restore power supply as soon as possible.
Previously. Yesterday the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal ordered all powerful generators available to the Ministry of Energy to be brought to Odesa, which was left without electricity due to the accident at the substation.
