Zelensky signs law exempting imported copters, thermal imagers and radios from customs duties and VAT

Preferential conditions will be in effect until the end of martial law, but no longer than January 1, 2024

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has signed bills to exempt imports of copters, thermal imagers, collimators, and night vision devices from customs duties and VAT.

The Parliament's website states that bills No. 8360 and 8361-d were returned with the President's signature on February 22.

The Verkhovna Rada adopted them on February 6. In addition, on the eve of the second reading, handheld transceivers were added to the list of tax-exempt goods at the request of volunteers. It is worth noting that the preferential conditions also apply to goods transported (sent) to the customs territory of Ukraine in international postal and express shipments. These rules will be in effect until the end of martial law, but no longer than until January 1, 2024.

The bills come into force the day after their publication.
