The government has appointed a new director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine.
This was discussed at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
Semen Kryvonos, who has been the Head of the State Inspectorate for Architecture and Urban Planning since 2021, is to take up the position of a new Head of the NABU. At the same time, he was dismissed from his previous position.
Two other candidates are proposed to be appointed by the new Head of the NABU to other senior positions in the Bureau.
In 2007, Semen Kryvonos worked at the Department for Family, Youth and Sports of the Holosiyivskyi District State Administration in Kyiv.
From 2011 to 2014, he held senior positions at the Obukhiv Town and District Department of Justice.
In 2015, he worked at the Main Territorial Department of Justice in Kyiv Oblast and the Main Territorial Department of Justice in Odesa Oblast.
From November 2015 to November 2016, he was the First Deputy Head of the Odesa Customs of the State Fiscal Service.
In 2016, Semen Kryvonos won the competition for the position of Head of the Odesa Territorial Department of the NABU. He resigned his position and returned to work at the customs.
In 2018, he received a certificate of the right to practise law.
From July 2020 to May 2021, he was the Head of the NGO Office of Simple Solutions and Results.
On 20 May 2021, after the liquidation of the State Architectural and Construction Inspectorate of Ukraine, Semen Kryvonos was appointed to the position of the Head of the State Inspectorate for Architecture and Urban Planning of Ukraine.
