Ukrainian Defense Ministry calls for no discussion of Ukrainian counteroffensive

According to her, there is no need to publicly discuss the military plans of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Hanna Malyar urged the public not to discuss the Ukrainian counteroffensive.

She emphasized that strategic military plans can only be made public by the president, the minister of defense, and the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces. The rest can only quote them.

"There is no need to ask experts on the air about the counteroffensive, no need to write blogs and posts on this topic, no need to publicly discuss the military plans of our army. We have one strategic plan – to liberate all our territories. And the details are already a military secret," Hanna Malyar wrote in her telegram channel.

The Deputy Minister of Defense reminded that last September, the Ukrainian Armed Forces counteroffensive, which liberated Kherson, took place without public discussion.

"The silence allowed the military to gain time and do their job," she said.

Background. As a reminder, President Zelenskyy said that Ukraine could not launch a counteroffensive yet due to a lack of ammunition.
