The Podil District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv detained and served suspicion notices to two people who fraudulently tried to change the ownership of a non-residential building of the sanctioned Rosatom, which is subject to nationalisation.
This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.
According to the investigation, the russian state corporation Rosatom, through a controlled company, owns non-residential premises in the Podil district of Kyiv with an area of more than 1000 sq m worth more than 100 million UAH.
As part of the investigation, the court seized the property and transferred it to the management of the ARMA. In addition, the National Security and Defence Council imposed sanctions on Rosatom Corporation, including the freezing of assets.
Thus, the said premises were subject to further nationalisation in accordance with the law.
In order to prevent the nationalisation of the property of a russian resident, a group of individuals commissioned by a sanctioned company, using forged documents, tried to change the ownership of the premises to a controlled company with signs of fictitiousness.
Two persons involved in the illegal scheme were detained in the premises of a private notary while trying to carry out the transaction.
The suspects have been detained as a measure of restraint in the form of custody.
