The event was chaired by President of the European Parliament Roberta Mecola and Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament Ruslan Stefanchuk. The issues were discussed in two blocks: the first – rebuilding a European Ukraine, the second – joint creation of a sustainable future.
It is noted that Ukraine, through medical evacuation, sends seriously ill and severely injured patients for free treatment to European hospitals. The country has also received a large amount of humanitarian aid.
"Ukraine's accession to EU4Health is important for us, as it will help us accelerate European integration processes and receive funding for healthcare improvement projects," the statement says.
