Council of Europe supports extension of EU mobile roaming to Ukraine

The decision is now to be approved by the EU-Ukraine Association Committee in the Trade Configuration

The Council of Europe has approved the European Commission's proposal to extend EU mobile roaming to Ukraine.

This was reported by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

To this end, the EC proposed to include a provision on roaming in Annex 17-3 of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.

The Ukrainian government explains that Ukrainians in the EU currently communicate with their relatives in Ukraine without overpayments thanks to an agreement between mobile operators.

Previously. Mind reported that Ukrainian operators had signed an agreement with European operators on affordable roaming in order for the Ukrainians living in the EU to be able to receive affordable roaming services.
