This was announced by Turkish President Recep Erdogan.
CNN adds that this is Abu al-Hussein al-Husseini al-Qurashi, who became the head of the terrorist organisation in November 2022. According to Erdogan, this operation was carried out by the Turkish National Intelligence Organisation as part of the fight against terrorism.
