UK intelligence: russia faces the largest labour shortage in decades

Over the last three years, russia's population has declined by 2 million more than expected due to the impact of COVID-19 and the war in Ukraine.

This was reported by the UK intelligence.

"The Central Bank of russia surveyed 14,000 employers and found that the number of available workers is at its lowest level since 1998," the report states.

In 2022, up to 1.3 million people left russia, many of them young and well-educated individuals working in important sectors.

The russian Ministry of Communications reported that around 10% (100,000) IT workers left the country in 2022 and did not return.
